About Us

Set on the campus of the fictional Atlanta University, "Like Us" tells the dramatic story of the lives of the students of a Historical Black University. After years in foster care due to the abandonment of their drug addicted parents and bouncing from home to home, Kori and Shannon were finally placed with their grandmother at the age of 12 and 14. Two years ago their mother recovered from several years of drug abuse and moved to Atlanta to live with Kori and Shannon. Worried that Kori is on the same road to destruction their mother once lead because of her wild and irresponsible behavior, Shannon struggles to keep her sister and mother on the right path but finds herself in a bigger battle when the love of her life, Robert, causes her to do the unthinkable.

Mia, who is a hardworking student, and Alesha, who is the daughter of the President of Atlanta University, have been best friends since Freshmen year. Their friendship is tested when a shocking secret that Mia's boyfriend and Alesha share is unveiled. Adam, who is the star of Atlanta University's football team, becomes troubled by the thought of this secret surfacing and is put under extreme pressure after Coach Robinson questions his ability on the field. This causes Adam to make a dangerous decision in effort to improve his athletic performance. In fear of Adam's life being destroyed, his NY native team mate and roommate, Ronnie, threatens to reveal these things to Coach Robinson but it all back fires when Adam threatens to tell Ronnie's psychotic girlfriend, Tracey, a highly disturbing secret that could ultimately shatter their relationship.
